I really enjoyed this book, it was action from start to finish with twists and surprises thrown in to keep you guessing, and just when you think I know who did it or who that is a twist is thrown in.
The story was well written and well thought through. I liked how the characters each interacted in the world created and how each character helped to progress the story and keep it flowing.
The character of Eliza was perfect. She was strong and determind to do her job in a male dominated world. She handled everything thrown at her. I also liked her hesitation about Lizzie who is her opposite but still her aswell. I just loved the whole duality question and how the 2 halves of the same personality can co excist.
Captain Laffyette was a engima. working for an organisation that would kill Eliza for having her duality on show yet harbouring a dangerous secret of his own. It all added to the mystery of the characters.
There were so many secrets hinted at and never revealed that made the book all the better.
I can't wait to for book 2 and more of Eliza and Lizzie's adventures.
